It’s not every day you turn 155, you know. So, in the spirit of celebration, Penhaligon’s has carefully hand-picked five classic fragrances from the Archive to bring back for a limited time. Violetta, Bayolea, Zizonia, English Fern and Lavandula.
Please note the 155 classics are around for a limited time and are only available online in the UK only and in the below UK Penhaligon's boutiques (until stocks last):
Chester, Covent Garden (Wellington Street), Leeds, Bath, Edinburgh, King’s Road and Regent Street.
They shall be poured in our limited-edition 155 Anniversary glass bottle.
VIOLETTA, 1976
Crafted in 1976, Violetta is one of our most surprising fragrances: Spring dawns with fresh citrus whilst dusk brings violet and musk. Will you walk through the woods?
BAYOLEA, 1978
Bayolea is the reformulation of the scent of classic Bay Rum hair tonic from William’s extensive archives – and forms the foundation of our comprehensive gentlemen’s grooming range. A timeless eau de toilette for the classic gent. Citrus, spicy and decidedly dapper.
ZIZONIA, 1930
Zizonia is known to have been part of our fragrance collection by 1930 – it was resurrected as part of the Anthology Collection in 2010 and returns again for our 155th anniversary. An oriental odyssey of burnt spices, sweet orange and patchouli. Heady and dry, bursting with mystery.
ENGLISH FERN, 1911
Ever one to follow in his father’s trailblazing footsteps, Walter Penhaligon introduces a unique take on a classic fougère, English Fern. The fragrance, crafted in 1911, is a distillation of the English countryside. Clover and geranium drift over a woodland of patchouli and moss.
LAVANDULA, 1976
Lavandula is inspired by our archive fragrance Esprit du Lavande. From the fields of Provence, an eau de parfum of lavender and herbs on a bed of vanilla.
